I mean, it was flaming...like, burn-my-fingers H-O-T!!
As soon as my kids saw the crazy fun on the Santa Monica Pier...i.e. the ferris wheel, the cotton candy, the games, the food trucks...oh my...I think my debit card jumped out of my wallet and started doing it's own dance from card swiper to card swiper.
We rocked out the day, and got into the car to drive home totally spent, sweaty, and plum-tuckered out from our rad day. And then....
...that quick feeling of dread as I knew the fun had passed and now I'd have to tell my husband about the blown budget....eeek!!!
But, something happened later that night that reminded me of the Jessie J song, "It's Not About the Money!"
And, as a good song usually does to me, I couldn't help but break into the tune as I re-told the story on this episode of "Modern Zen."
