The Secret to the Journey to Authentic Happiness

    So, we all have heard the saying, The destination IS the journey. We get that .or do we? A few months ago, me and my family took a trip to the the Lost Coast of California. It s one of the hardest beaches in California to get to because there is no direct route. During our journey, I got a little life lesson, (funny how that works), and a big secret to life,  because it didn t feel like we d EVER find the Lost Coast. I realized, how the journey to authentic happiness is very similar. Authentic happiness happens when we are living fully, living our Personal Legend (as is explained in Paulo Coehlo s book, The Alchemeist, and truly living authentically happy. What is authentic happiness?



 I mean, REAL, authentic, happiness. Not the fake kind that most can smell a mile away, but the grounded, genuine, authentic happiness that people FEEL you emanating.



Authentic happiness is, unfortunately, not the norm in our culture, but that's what this community is hoping to change.

Like Jessie J Says, "It's Not About the Money" - VidetteV TV

During a family adventure to the Wanderlust Festival's, "Yoga in the City" in LA last weekend, I BLEW my debit card up!

I mean, it was flaming...like, burn-my-fingers H-O-T!!



As soon as my kids saw the crazy fun on the Santa Monica Pier...i.e. the ferris wheel, the cotton candy, the games, the food trucks...oh my...I think my debit card jumped out of my wallet and started doing it's own dance from card swiper to card swiper.



 We rocked out the day, and got into the car to drive home totally spent, sweaty, and plum-tuckered out from our rad day. And then....

...that quick feeling of dread as I knew the fun had passed and now I'd have to tell my husband about the blown budget....eeek!!!



 But, something happened later that night that reminded me of the Jessie J song, "It's Not About the Money!"

And, as a good song usually does to me, I couldn't help but break into the tune as I re-told the story on this episode of "Modern Zen."
